It starts with a simple greeting, the way you shake hands when you first meet someone. It’s goes on with simple pats on the arm, the shoulder, or back. It moves on to the thigh, if you trust each other enough, and they do, of course. Eunhyuk likes Donghae, and Donghae thinks there’s something special about Eunhyuk and he just can’t keep his hands to himself.
It blooms into something much greater, like a sunflower raising its head towards the sky and reaching, looking to test its limits. Donghae kisses Eunhyuk square on the mouth, all the while holding his hand. And when his face is flushed from embarrassment, the fact that their hands are clamped together makes it difficult. It’s because of the hands, but Donghae detaches. And hides himself in a locked room while his heart slaps him over and over again.
But hands are gravitational, like the sun. Donghae is a planet to Eunhyuk, and he can’t escape, so he’s pulled in again.
It almost restarts itself, but it doesn’t go back to a handshake. It goes from an awkward kiss and three days without a hand touch to skipping over the glossy stage floor in perfect clean sneakers just so Donghae can jump into Eunhyuk’s open arms. He’s waiting for Donghae.
Hands like to touch other hands. Eunhyuk’s hand likes to touch Donghae’s hand so much that it’s hard to separate them. They talk, eat breakfast, and eat lunch, sometimes dinner, watch TV, sleep, and so much more all while their fingers are tangled webs.
Donghae can’t hide it. He loves Eunhyuk.
Eunhyuk can’t mask it. He loves Donghae. He thinks there’s something special about him, and he’ll just never be able to keep his hands off.
